My Tri Training: Changing Gears

Based on the 12 week Sprint Triathlon plan I'll be following (check it out here), today's workout was supposed to be 30 mins of easy cycling or a spin class. Ok, well, which is it, because based on the spin class I did last week, I'd say these are polar opposites. The only easy riding you'll be doing in a spin class is during the warm-up and cool down.
My alarm was set for the 5am spin class at the gym, but there was no way that was going to happen when it went off. My body was still feeling the effects of the bike and running workouts I put it through while camping and needed more rest. I convinced myself I'd hit the gym at work during lunch and hit the pillow instead.
Not always easy to listen to your body when you wanna train, but I'm glad I did. My calves we're still on fire and thanked me...for the moment.
The spin bikes at my work gym are more than up to the task of giving me a good workout. All I needed now was something to follow along with so I turned to old faithful, YouTube.
I had it in my head that I needed a 45 min workout, probably due to that being the same time-frame of the spin class from last week, and forgot I only needed 30 mins on the bike. Duh!
Here's the 45 min workout I logged today, which was awesome! Highly recommended if you're looking for more cycling resources. it'll work you without a doubt.
If you prefer to take the smart route and log 30 mins, here's one by the same guy/channel (Global Cycling Network), which I'm sure is just as good.
After finishing the 45 min session, my legs were toast and I was feeling a bit light-headed. Was doing much better after getting some food in me.
