Pre Wk 1: Running from Bears

Not always easy to find time to workout, especially when you're camping, but when jogging's on the triathlon training calendar, it's definitely easier to hit the road and run. Just watch out for those bears. At least with bears I'd have a better chance of avoiding them, and maybe, possibly, out run them. Not the same with sharks and swimming in open water, but I digress.
Started my run early this morning on the dirt roads in the campground where we're staying (near Yosemite) then moved to the paved road out front, which offered a nice long stretch of asphalt with just enough ups and downs.

The 12 week training plan I'll be following doesn't officially start till next week, so I'm trying to take it easy (Ref training plan) until then.
Today's run definitely went better than my first one last week, which has me feeling very motivated! I even killed the final stretch of my run, which was up a very steep hill back to camp.
Tomorrow is a much deserved rest day then back at it with a spin class on Monday morning with the rest of the crazed spin class bikers.
