Run time: 21 mins
Distance: 2 miles
Ok, maybe not like the wind blows, but today I jogged and didn't stop until I was done. No need for a break this go round, which was an awesome feeling! So is that runner's high. Based on that distance, my mile time is 10 mins, 30 seconds, which gives me a baseline to improve on.
I previously mapped out a 1 mile course using my car's trip counter so I'd know just how much distance I covered during my runs. Although now that I'm thinking about it, I should also mark off each quarter mile along the route for when I start making additional progress.
I'm sure I could find an app that would tell me the distance I've run and a bunch of other stats, but while I'm training I just wanna get out there and focus on the run. Only thing I need to track it is the stopwatch function on my watch.
Don't get me wrong, the run was still tough. And based on my previous running experience, it's always tough. Mentally and physically. Just a matter of building up my endurance in both of these areas.
Looking forward to the much needed rest day tomorrow. Going to hit the Sauna at the gym and give my muscles some high heat treatment. Also going to have to fight the urge to practice swimming while I'm there.
