My Tri Training: It Pays to Run!

Month 1 - Week 1:

  • Mon: Bike: 30 minutes easy or spin class

  • Tue: Run: 20 minutes easy

  • Wed: Off

  • Thu: Swim: 10 to 16 x 25 m easy, rest 20 seconds

  • Fri: Bike: 30 to 40 minutes easy or spin class

  • Sat: Run: 20 minutes easy

  • Mile 1: 9mins, 30 seconds

  • Mile 2: 9mins, 10 seconds

  • Chased a quarter mile with the rest

  • Sun: Off

It literally does pay to run, well, at least today it did. I was looking down as I hit my first half-mile of today's run and saw a $5 bill. By the time I pocketed it I found another one. Sweet! Planning to pay it forward with a random act of kindness, because why not.

Even better still, despite stopping to pick up the cash,I improved my mile times which was the best part of today's run! Mile times from my post earlier this week were 10mins, 30 seconds. Not bad! Looking forward to more improvements and I'm thinking I need a better pair of running shoes.
