13 Things Mentally Strong Parents Don't Do - Amy Morin
This book is filled with great examples and advice on some recommended do's and don'ts of parenting. As a father of 4, this has definitely come in handy. I just wish I had read it a long time ago.

Extreme Ownership - Jocko Willink
This book opened my eyes to the importance of taking ownership and how it can lead to self-empowerment, building relationships and establishing trust.

Never Split the Difference - Chris Voss
When I had a subscription to MasterClass, I took a course from Chris Voss on Negotiating, which was great. The book is an expanded version and includes so much more. I've used these techniques a number of times since reading the book including during the purchase of our house.

The Obstacle is the Way - Ryan Holiday
Problems arise on a daily basis and there doesn't seem to be an area where they do not occur. This book showed me how to look at problems as opportunities to learn from rather than reasons for frustration or annoyance. This helps to keep the mind engaged and focused on problem-solving.

Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
A good friend of mine hounded me to read this book until a finally caved and once I started it, I looked for opportunities to keep working my way through it. The audiobook version was the most convenient and offered some great entertainment. Be sure to check out "Ender's Shadow" once you've finished this one to really blow your mind. Also, skip the movie. It doesn't even come close.

Crucial Conversations - Kerry Patterson
If I was ranking these books, this one would absolutely be in my top 3 as it's easily one of those I frequently recommend. Whether you see yourself as a good communicator or not, this is required reading for anyone that's ever been involved in an emotionally charged conversation and veered off course. This book helps to keep your conversations focused on what truly matters and provides plenty of real-world examples and tools, which I love.

Leadership Strategy and Tactics - Jocko Willink
Yep, another Jocko Willink book. This one is a great compliment to his other book, Extreme Ownership and does a great job at breaking down valuable leadership strategies. A definitely must for anyone whose interested in working their way towards a leadership role or for those looking to enhance their skills.
